"...1209 Private Henry Hayward Aldridge, 39th Battalion, of Heywood, Vic. Pte Aldridge was a bullock driver before enlisting on 11 April 1916, and had four children. He embarked from Melbourne on HMAT Ascanius on 27 May 1916 with D Company. On 30 August 1917 he was transferred to 10th Machine Gun Company. He was killed in action in France on 12 April 1918, at the age of 36." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
