Son of Samuel and Louisa A. Belbin, Bishopsbourne, Tasmania
BELBIN-On November 4, 1949, at the Launceston General Hospital, Percy William Belbin, of 33 Como Cres., Newstead, only son of the late Samuel and Louisa A. Belbin, formerly of Westbury, and loved brother of Amy, Ruby, and Violet (Mrs. H. Bricknell). Aged 56 years. Late 40th Battalion, 1st A.I.F.
Mr. P. W. Belbin The funeral of Mr. Percy William Belbin, 33 Como Cres., Newstead, who died on Friday, took place on Monday morning at Carr Villa Cemetery, where there was a large gathering of relatives and friends and members of the Westbury and Launceston R.S.L. branches. Rev. F. V. Winn, of Chant St. Methodist Church, conducted the services and Mr. Hugh Bearup conducted the Anzac Service.
Chief mourners were Mr. and Mrs. H. Bricknell (brother-in-law and sister), Misses Ruby and Amy Belbin (sisters), and Mr. J. R. Belbin (cousin). Mr. C. S. Fitzpatrick and Mr. A. J. Caswell represented the Westbury Trotting Club.
Pall-bearers were Messrs. W. Jacobs, L. McKenzie, C. J. R. Smith, A. W. Pickett, S. Draper and H. Bracken, members of the R.S.L.
Funeral arrangements were by C. T. Finney and Sons.
