Personal Stories
Love in a time of War
Thomas Archer is my Great Grandfather.
He was engaged to an Australian girl when he embarked at Melbourne per H.M.A.T "Ulysses" on 8/5/1915.
He suffered Asthma and was in and out of various hospitals.
While convalescing in Bulford Mil Hosp, he was nursed by a Belinda Perry.
They fell in love and later married and returned to Australia.
Were it not for the war, they would never have met and my family line would not exist.
