"THE LATE CORPORAL H. D. MAIN.
Corporal H. D. Main, who died on April 12 from wounds received in action in France, is the son of Mr. W. D. Main of Glasgow, Scotland. He joined the service of the Union Bank in 1911 and transferred to the Adelaide branch shortly afterwards. He later joined the staff of
the New Zealand Insurance Company, where he remained until the date of his enlistment. He waa a prominent figure in Rugby circles, and was a member of the London Scottish Rugby Ciub in England." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 02 Jun 1917 (nla.gov.au)
