John Coffer Hoffman, a man never forgotten for his unbelievable bravery and courage, risking his life for us to have peace.

Born in Port Shields, England, he later moved to Adelaide, South Australia where he eventually enlisted. On the 9th of October, 1915, at the bright age of 33 and 10/12 years old John enlisted. He married Henrietta Hoffman shortly before enlisting.  Standing at 5 foot 4 inches, 134 pounds, with a fair complextion and hair, and blue eyes Hoffman was within all of the criteria to join the army. Furthermore, originally a carpenter, Hoffman apprenticed at "Elliot's" back in his hometown Port Shields, England before enlisting.
