Brother of James Spencer who died of wounds on 8 August 1918 and is buried in the Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery. Plot X111, Row B, Grave 9

Commenced return to Australia on 12 July 1919 aboard HT City of Essex disembarking on 26 August 1919

During 1920c George married Adelaide Single in Casino, NSW. Adelaide died during 1935c after which George re-marriedd during 1939c to Mary Agnes McMillin.
