Arthur had multiple 1st cousins that went to WW1, Rupert Harcourt Blain, Thomas William Blain, Albert Joseph Blain, Edward John Blain, Herbert John Sommerville, Stuart Joseph Gaul, Benjamin Peter George Meredith, Arthur Ernt Aberline, and 2nd cousin Charles William Clifford.
Arthur also had a 1st cousin Matthew Alexander McFarlane Aberline in the Boer War
