The 6th Battalion joined the August 1918 advance, striking out from Villers-Bretonneux and taking part in the capture of Lihons. Bert Clouson was seen to be hit in the head by a machine gun bullet about 300 yards into the advance. His name is on the Tocumwal War Memorial.
