Henry was the fourth of eight children of William Beeson (b1862 in Victoria Plains, WA) and Catherine Agnes Butler (b1864 in Fremantle, WA). William (a Labourer) and Catherine married in 1882 in Greenough, WA and lived in Greenough, Mt Magnet and Geraldton (Moonyoonooka and Yandanooka) where William was a Railway Worker and Farm Labourer.
Henry was a Labourer at Yandanooka WA when he enlisted in the AIF in October 1916 (Private; Service No:6287). He served in France with the 27th and 50th Infantry Battalions and was hospitalised with Trench Fever. Henry was Discharged in December 1917. Sons Lionel Robert and Henry Neil served in WWII.
Returning to the Geraldton WA region, Henry worked as a Labourer at Moonyoonooka and in 1919 married Evelyn Louisa Fickling (b1897 in Dongara, WA). Henry and Evelyn settled at Yandanooka where Henry was a Farmer, before moving to Mingenew in the 1930s. Henry was working as a Carrier when he died in 1938. Evelyn died in 1986,
