Osmond Vivian Ormond BATT was born in Pingarra, Western Australia on 14th August, 1888
His parents were David BATT & Mary Ellen BENTLEY who married in Perth, WA in 1877
He enlisted in Albany, WA on 27th June, 1916 & embarked from Fremantle, WA on 26th February, 1917 on the ship RMS Morea with the 10th Light Horse Regiment, 26th Reinforcement
He returned to Australia on 4th August, 1919 on the ship Oxfordshire and was discharged on 11th September, 1919

Osmond enlisted for WW2 on 13th September, 1942 in Moora, WA - his last unit was listed as 13 Moora Battalion, Volunteer Defence Corp - discharge unknown
He died in Nedlands, WA on 7th August, 1971 and was cremated at Karrakatta Cemetery & his ashes scattered
