He was in B.Coy. and was single. He had both his legs blown off by a shell at Mont St. Quentin in the early morning, just before the hop over. The S/Bearers were carrying out and the Germans advanced and both the S/Bearers D/Wounds. The body was found by some of our men the same afternoon, dead. It was taken back and buried.
