The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 151,2 + 270. Prior to the war he was a labourer of "The Slopes" via Richmond NSW. He enlisted 27th July 1915 aged 25 years. He served with the 1st Infantry Battalion, and during that service he was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal and the Military Medal for his activities. He survived the war, departing the UK for home 25th Sep 1919.
