Add my storyBiography
"LATE PTE. F. J. OSWALD.
Pte. Frederick Jacques Oswald, who died of wounds in France on August 8, 1918, was the fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Oswald, of Talia, late of Port Lincoln. He was born at Port Lincoln, and received his education there. He enlisted in April, 1916, embarked for the front in August of the same year, and was in every battle to the time of his death. In a letter to his mother he said:— "Do not worry about me. If I fall, I will only be one of many, and I'm not sorry I came." Deceased has a brother at the front, and Mr. and Mrs. Oswald have also 18 nephews there, two of whom have paid the supreme sacrifice." - from the Adelaide Observer 12 Oct 1918 (nla.gov.au)
