Address at the time of enlistment was given as C/- J.P. Lindsay of 186 Palmer Street, Darlinghurst, NSW but he was living in Ayr, QLD when he enlisted

Commenced return to Australia on 4 December 1915 aboard HT Themistocles disembarking on 2 January 1916

Served a seven year apprenticeship with Colston & Co., Printers of Edinburgh, Scotland
