William Robert Robinson was married to Charlotte Sarah Holland and living in  Bundamba, Ipswich in QLD when he enlisted in the AIF in 1915. He was working as an Engine Driver and he and Charlotte had 3 children under the age of 16 years.

William continued living in Ipswich, QLD when he returned from service in 1919, working as an Engine Driver and then as an Engineer
