He was 31 and the son of George and Selina Andrews, of "Myrtle House," Caldicot, Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales.Caldicot (Welsh: Cil-y-coed) is a town and community in Monmouthshire, south-east Wales, located between Chepstow and Newport.
He had sustained a shrapnel wound to the shoulder at Gallipoli on 12th August 1915.
He is one of two Australian casualties of the Great War remembered on the Caldicot War Memorial.
