Biography contributed by John Edwards

"McLEOD.- Private Neil Rodwick McLeod, late of Tooth's Brewery, died of illness, November 11, 1916, aged 34 years.

Do not ask us if we miss him,
There is such a vacant place;
Can we e'er forget his footsteps
And his dear, familiar face?
Time has passed, and still we miss him,
Words would fain our love to tell,
But in heaven we hope to meet him,
Jesus doeth all things well.

Inserted by his loving wife and children, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law.

McLEOD.- Private Neil R., aged 34 years, died of illness in France, November 11, 1916. Eldest son of Mr. J. D. McLeod. Inserted by his loving father, brothers, and sisters." - from the Sydney Morning Herald 25 Nov 1916 (nla.gov.au)
