The soldier was born 9th May 1897 at Ringarooma Tasmania, the son of Joseph and Anna Jane Andrews. He attended school at the nearby town of New River. He was the first soldier to be born and bred at Ringerwood Tas to give his life in WW1. Allan was Killed in Action 25th July 1916 at Pozieres Ridge in France at the age of 19 years 2 months. May he Rest in Peace. Lest We Forget.
