Son of William Reuben Vickery and Mary Jane Vickery nee Lamont of 'Bahgallah', Casterton, Victoria.
Brother of Murdoch Vickery who returned to Australia during August 1917 having served with the 21st Battalion.
Commenced return to Australia on 18 December 1919 aboard HT Konigin Luise diembarking 4 February 1920
