Roderick Robert BALSHAW was born in 1895 at Moulamein, New South Wales
In his war record he stated he was born in Moulamein parish near Bendigo but his birth is recorded in NSW
His parents were Thomas Watkinson BALSHAW & Jane Ann BREMNER who married in NSW in 1882

His brother Norman BALSHAW (SN 19776) also served in WW1 and Died of Wounds on 9th April, 1918
