Family details

My great-uncle, Thomas ("Toddie") O'Connor, was born in Dublin, Ireland, about 1885. He was a clerk, his father was a butcher and his brother, Peter John, was a cattle dealer who enlisted with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers and was awarded a Military Cross at the Somme.
Thomas enlisted in the 12th Light Horse on June 4, 1915 at Liverpool, NSW, and stated his previous military service as 18 months with the Royal Irish Lancers. Family lore was that he was killed in France but this does not appear to be the case. The family has no information about his life after World War I.
