"KILLED IN ACTION. PRIVATE F. ANDREWARTHA.

News has been received in Eaglehawk to the effect that Private Frederick Andrewartha, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Andrewartha, of Macorna, was killed at the Dardanelles on the 16th November. The deceased, who was 22 years of age, was a former well-known resident of Eaglehawk, residing at the boarding establishment of Mrs. A. E. Martin, of View Point. During his two years residence in the borough he won the high esteem of a very large circle of acquaintances. Prior to his enlisting he was employed at the Johnson's No. 2 mine. It will he remombered that about 12 months ago Private Andrewartha was working in this mine when as the re sult of a blasting accident John Ayre lost his life, and a man named Stevens was rendered blind.
