Corporal John Bradley (Service No:4027) enlisted in the AIF on 26 June 1916 and embarked as a Private ex Fremantle with 32nd Infanty Battalion on the Port Melbourne A16 on 30 October 1916 bound for Devonport. Corporal Bradley served in France and embarked for the RTA on 1 June 1919 on board HT Somali. He was Discharged on 15 August 1919.
Born in 1891 in Country Tyrone Ireland, John was the third of four children of James Bradley (b1846 in County Tyrone, Ireland) and Annie Armstrong (b1868 in County Tyrone, irleand). James (a Farmer) and Annie married in 1886 and following James' death in 1905, Annie immigrated to Fremantle WA.
John was a Mill Worker in County Tyrone, Ireland in 1911 and arrived in Fremantle WA in 1913 on board the Armadale. John worked as a Lime Merchant and Locomotive Cleaner in Perth WA and in 1916 married Evelyn Maud Glew (b1892 in Melbourne, Victoria). Following his Discharge in 1919, John and Evelyn lived in Perth WA and York where John was a Locomotive Fireman with WAGR. John and Evelyn had six children when they Separated in 1934 and Divorced in 1940. Evelyn died in 1944 and John in 1981.
