"4068 Private Patrick Thomas George Baird, 28th Battalion, of Busselton then Carnavon, WA... A light keeper prior to enlistment, 4068 Pte Baird embarked with the 10th Reinforcements from Fremantle on HMAT Ulysses on 1 April 1916. He was killed in action at Fleurs, France on 3 November 1916, aged 21. His father, 6729 Pte Patrick David Baird (/explore/people/82992) was a farmer prior to enlistment. He embarked with the 22nd Reinforcements of the 16th Battalion from Fremantle on HMAT Argyllshire on 9 November 1916. - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
