Wolfred Henry ANSPACH was born in New Thebarton, South Australia on 26th April, 1894
His parents were Wolfred ANSPACH and Sarah Lucy BOSWORTH
He enlisted on 14th Jan, 1916 with the 43rd Battalion - Unit embarked from Adelaide on HMAT Afric on 9th June 1916
He was killed in action on 3rd July, 1917 in France - no known grave. Wolfred is listed on the Australian War memorial and also on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial in Belgium
"THE LATE PRIVATE ANSPACH.
Private W. Anspaeh was killed in action on July 3. Prior to enlisting he was employed at the Central mine, Broken Hill. He was 23 years of age and possessed a bright and genial disposition, which won for him many friends." - from the Adelaide Advertiser 09 Aug 1917 (nla.gov.au)
