The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 137.138.261. Prior to the war he was a messenger of Redfern NSW. He enlisted 5th Mar 1915 aged 18 years, and was allocated to 17th Battalion. He was awarded the Military Medal during his service, and promoted to Lance Sergeant. He survived the war, departing the UK for home 2nd Jan 1919
