Ernest Frederick Besier was born on the 25th July 1895 in the District of Deloraine Tasmania. Informant Charles Besier, father of Stony CreeK. Ernest wast 10th and last born child of Charles Frederick Besier (b. Germany 1850- d. 1924 Mangalore, Tasmania.) and Sarah Ann (nee Hyland) Besier (b.1852 Mangalore Tasmania - d. Hobart Tasmania 1904). There were six girls and four boys including Ernest.
