No. 4 Squadron AFC was part of the allied occupation force stationed in German after the armistice.
Air Mechanic 2nd Class William John Reid contracted influenza and was evacuated to the 44th CCS (situated in Cologne) on 13 January 1919.
He later died of influenza at the 44th CCS in Cologne, Germany on 8 February 1919.
