He was 31 and the son of John and Sarah Ann Jarvis; husband of Mrs G. Richards (formerly Jarvis) of Seabreeze Cottage, Lynmouth, Devon.

Jarvis Albert Berry Barnstaple 5b 753

His brother also fell while serving with British forces; he was Private 14163 Richard Francis Jarvis, 2nd Battalion, Dorsetshire Regiment. Originally served as Private 18159, Devonshire Regiment. He died on the 26th May 1916 aged 24, and is buried in Amara War Cemetery, Iraq.  

Both are commemorated on the Lynton & Lynmouth War Memorial
