18 Sep 1918:	Honoured Military Cross, For conspicuous courage and devotion to duty at 3.15 pm on 24 April 1918 when in charge of an ammunition convoy at the Bonnay Cross Roads near Albert, the covoy came under heavy shell fire killing the mukes of the leading teams and destroying the leading wagon which was burning fiercely, he diverted the remainder of the convoy and returned to the sunken road to assist the wounded although the shell fire was still intense and the ammunition wagon threaten to explode.
16 Mar 1919:	Embarked AIF WW1, Lieutenant, 14th Field Artillery Brigade , HT Czaritza, England for return to Australia, then in HT Dunluce Castle - disembarking Sydney 18 May 1919.
17 Jul 1919:	Discharged AIF WW1, Lieutenant, 14th Field Artillery Brigade
