War Service/Promotions: Arrived in Liverpool, England, 11 August 1918. To R.B.A.A. Heytesbury, Wiltshire, on 12 August 1918. On 4 October 1918 embarked from Dover, Kent, England, to France. On 6 October 1918 to A.G.B.D., Rouelles, France. On 12 October 1918 Taken on Strength into 12th Army. Appointed Driver 15 October 1918. By 10 February 1919 he had contracted influenza and was admitted to 40th Stationary Hospital. His condition deteriorated and by 13 February 1919, he wasdangerously ill suffering from broncho pneumonia.
