"LATE PTE. H. S. SHELDON.
Pte. H. S. Sheldon, who was killed in action in Gallipoii on or about August 7, was the son of Mr. C. Sheldon, of Pinnaroo. He joined the 8th Light Horse in Victoria. For a number of years he was engaged in farm work with his father and brothers. Pte. Sheldon was 31 years of age, and was a fine, manly fellow. He was well liked, and bore a character for uprightness and a clear sense of duty." - from the Adelaide Register 24 Sep 1915 (nla.gov.au)
