17/6/1915    embarked from Port of Melbourne onboard HMAT Wandilla A62
                   as a Private in 12th Infantry Battalion, 6th reinforcements

6/8/1915      taken on strength from reinforcements, Gallipoli, ANZAC

17/9/1915     sick with influenza, admitted to 2nd Australian Field Ambulance, Gallipoli
                    transferred to Hospital Ship HS Maheno
23/9/1915     seriously ill - admitted to Cottamera Military Hospital, Malta

25/10/1915    suffering from enteric - embarked for England onboard HS Brazila, ex Malta
1/11/1915     admitted to 2nd Birmingham War Hospital, Northfield, England
29/2/1916     discharged to Australian Depot, Monte Video

7/6/1916       proceeded overseas to France, ex England

4/8/1916       taken on strength into 12th Battalion, France

22/8/1916     gun shot wound to groin (wounded in action)
                    admitted to 44th Casualty Clearing Station
                    transferred to 2nd Australian General Hospital
28/8/1916     embarked onboard HS Western Australia for England, ex Wimereux, France
29/8/1916     admitted to Alexandra Hospital, Coaham, England
18/11/1916   discharged to Weymouth

18/3/1917     proceeded overseas to France, ex Infantry Drafting Depot, Perham Downs

                    transferred to 2nd Canadian Casualty Clearing Station
9/11/1917     transferred to 7th General Hospital, St Omer

9/12/1917     rejoined unit

6/1/1918       granted leave to UK, ex France
20/1/1918      rejoined unit in France

confirmed by his mate & friend - 7710 Private A H Clarke:- 
"He was in C Company, X Platoon. At Mereton on 23rd April, at 3 o'clock in the morning,
  during out attack, I was alongside him when he was killed instantly...  He was my mate."

23/4/1918     machine gun bullet through the head (killed in action)

His name is commemorated on Panel 65 at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, ACT.
