Emily was the daughter of Henry Cherry and Elizabeth Jane Cherry nee Davis.
World War 1 service
Enlisted 18.5.1917
When Emily reached Suez she was sent to the 60th British General Hospital with rheumatic fever...It was then deemed Emily was only fit for light duties so was returned to Australia.
Medals: British War Medal and Victory Medal.
In 1920 Emily married Alexander Charles Ireland.
