WIREWORKER'S DEATH
Following an inquiry yesterday, the City Coroner, Mr. Oram, found that Richard Alfred Anderson, 50, a wireworker, of Broughton Road, Homebush, died on June 17 from the effects of injuries accidentally received through being entangled in a loop of wire and drawn round a revolving drum at Lysaght's wlro works, Chiswick. Alfred Richard Thuaux, of Park Street, Rozelle, a galvaniser, said an effort was made to stop the drum, but it was not successful due to the fouling of the clutch by a piece of wire. Another workman ran to the control Switch and stopped the machine.
