QUENTIN on 6th October, 1918, he rushed his machine gun into action in the face of a battery of ten German machine guns putting all the guns and crews out of action at a range of 200 yards. The machine guns and remainder of the crews were captured. Later in the morning he greatly assisted in dispersing enemy counter attacks by keeping his gun in action though heavily shelled by enemy 77 guns. | |
