The two enlisted children of James Aitchison and Euphemia Maxwell (née Christison) Aitchison of Clayfield, Queensland:-
3227 Pte. John Aitchison (/explore/people/261593) - returned to Australia;
20208 Sapper James Aitchison - died of (accidental) injuries.
Information from Sapper James Aitchison's Attestation Paper and Service Record, states that he died from a fractured spine at the 7th Casualty Clearing Station relating from a railway accident in France, 19 April 1919.

AITCHISON.- On 19th April, at 7th Casualty Clearing Station, Belgium, Sapper James Aitchison, 13th Field Coy., Engineers, the dearly beloved twin son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Aitchison, Denham street, Clayfleld, aged 22 years.
