Son of Frank Vansittart and Mary Vansittart of Chesron Place Farm, Upper Wallingham Surrey, England.

Commenced return to Australia on 3 July 1919 aboard HT Zealandic disembarking on 25 August 1919

Medals: 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal.

On 15 February 1919 Jesse married Bertha Florence Thorpe in the St. Mary the Virgin Church, Kettering,  England. Rev. F.H. Glaister officiated.
