Evacuated to Hurdcott UK on 10 May 1919. Transported to Australia aboard "City of Exeter" in July 1919, and was hospitalised for about 1 month with Beri beri possibly in Darwin NT. | |

His father Edward James Hardey (#4126) was at "the Front" when EC Hardey enlisted on 27/8/1917, he may have been only 15 years old as his WW1 and WW2 records show a variation in year of birth. (1899 and 1902.) |
