Births Jun 1889 Armstrong George Longtown 10b 461.
He arrived in Australia aged 23 years 7 months.
He was a son of James and Elizabeth Armstrong, of Crossings, Roadhead, Carlisle. He died aged 28 years 7 months. His brother, Private Richard Armstrong, aged 32, Service Number 484, of the 2nd Battalion, Australian Infantry, A.I.F. died in England of wounds received in action on 27th July 1915. The brothers are remembered o the Bewcastle War Memorial in Cumberland, England.
His mother selected the following inscription for their wargraves.
