29 May 1916: Embarked AIF WW1, Private, 4101, 28th Infantry Battalion, Embarked on Tunisian from Alexandria, Egypt on 29th May 1916,disembarking Marseilles, France on 5th June 1916.
29 Jul 1916: Imprisoned Initially reported as "Killed in Action" but was actually captured at Pozieres, France, on 29 July 1916. Interred at Gottingen (Hannover) and XI Army Corps Cassel until he was transferred to Switzerland on 13 December 1916 and then repatriated to England on 14 September 1917. Pte Dadswell arrived back in Australia on 4 March 1918
