Son of Alfred Richard Pascoe and Elizabeth Grace Pascoe nee Laity of Queensland. Brother of Lealor Maud Pascoe, Lionel Vincent Pascoe later named as next of kin, Hugh Ernest Laity Pascoe, Irene Bertha Pascoe and Florence Hannah Pascoe

Member of the Clayfield Rifle Club for 1 months prior to enlistment

On the 25 June 1919 Vivian married Margaret Shoesmith in the Alton Parish Church, England with Vicar J. Howard Palmer officiating

On the 6 September 1919 he commenced his return to Australia on board HT Berrima disembarking at Sydney on 8 November 1919 before travelling to Brisbane
