His older brother 6502 Private William Ernest Ford 2nd Battalion AIF, died of illness 9 February 1920 in Lockhart NSW, after discharge, age 31. Both men the sons of Spencer Ford of Lockhart NSW.
A third brother 3714 Private Thomas Herbert Ford 18th Battalion AIF, returned to Australia 9 June 1919.
