The youngest sn of late Mr. David Aitken.  He was born in 1892 and entered the School in 1895.  He was in the cricket and football teams from 1897 to 1899. and matriculating in 1899 then left School.  He was a clerk in the office of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Melbourne when he enlisted.  He was drafted into the 6th Reinforcements of the 5th Battalion, and left Victoria in June 1915.  He had only been four days in Egypt when he was sent to the front, and was killed a few days after he landed at Anzac in the fighting round Lone Pine.

War Services Old Melburnians 1914 - 1918

He joined Geelong Football Club in 1903 and on June 13 was named in the centre for the Pivotonians Round 8 match against St. Kilda. It was the only senior game he played.
