Dalgairns Outram ANDERSON was born in Granville, New South Wales on 29th September, 1891

His parents were James Outram ANDERSON & Patience LAYCOCK who married in Sydney in 1879

He married Evelyn JEFFS in Sydney in 1913

Biography

Australian Army Service Corps; 3rd Division Salvage Company

Rank - Sergeant

18 August 1916 - AWOL for 9 days while in isolation; fined 10 days full pay

30 September 1916 - Taken on strength 33 Btn

20 November 1916 - AWOL for 1 days; fined 28 days pay

21 November 1916 - Proceeded to France from Southampton

12 December 1916 - Wounded in action

14 December 1916 - Returned to duty

4 February 1917 - Taken on strength 33 Btn

26 June 1917 - To hospital - bruised foot

13 July 1917 - To hospital in England bruised foot(fractured)

17 December 1917 - Rejoined unit in France

Died of gunshot wounds to the head, back and legs

Grave inscription reads 'Born 29 Sept. 1891. Killed in Action. God is love.' Full name on the headstone was not as there was too many letters
