Name is incorrectly spelt on the Embarkation Roll (www.awm.gov.au) as Julien. Actually spelt Julian. In 1919, Julian Boyd Aarons changed his name via Deed Poll to Julian Boyd.

After the war, Julian Boyd moved to America where he joined the 'Pacific Coast Borax Company' which was a goldmining company. He also took up a position as a lecturer at the University of Southern California where he taught one night a week on goldmining.
