Rev. J. A. Malcomson.

Rev. J. A. Malcomson, of Tumut, who was for four years Presbyterian Minister at Young, died at the Scottish Hospital, Sydney, on Tuesday. He had been in hospital for sometime, and recovered sufficiently to return to his charge. After a few weeks, however, he had to return to Sydney and re-enter hospital. At Young Mr. Malcomson was very popular with the general public, and especially amongst the Diggers, with whom he had served as a padre at the war. He had a kindly, jovial nature, combined with high ideals. He was never happier when attending Digger functions, where he was always sure of a hearty welcome. The funeral took place at the Northern Suburbs cemetery. Rev. S. A. Eastman will represent the Young Presbytery, of which Tumut forms a part. A wreath was forwarded by the, Young sub-branch Returned Soldiers' League, of which the late Mr. Malcomson was a member. The late Mr. Malcomson was well known at Grenfell, having on several occasions preached at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
