BAXTER.—A tribute of love to the memory of my dear friend, Private Walter A. Baxter, 9th Battalion, died of wounds, in France, November 5, 1917.
Obedient to his country's call,
He went—my hope and joy;
and now—somewhere in France—
doth sleep,
My darling soldier boy.
