Frederick Blachree CRAMB was born in 1881, St Michael , Penkevil near Truro, Cornwall , England
His parents were William CRAMB and Sarah Emma WELLS who married on 19th November, 1873 in Minsterworth, Gloucester, UK
Frederick came to Western Australia on the ship Ortona in 1900 aged 19 years and embarked at Albany (King George Sound)
He enlisted in Kalgoorlie on 17th July, 1915 as a Private and embarked with the 28th Battalion, 5th reinforcements on 13th October, 1915 on the ship HMAT Themistocles.
Frederick died of Wounds on 10th July, 1918, Villers Bretonneux, France and is buried in Adelaide Cemetery, Villers Bretonneux, France

"A BROTHER BELOVED, A BIG HEARTED LOYAL FRIEND"
His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and the State War Memorial in Mount Eliza, Western Australia.
He was awarded the 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and the Victory Medal.

His brother Algernon Robert CRAMB also served (SN858) and died in 1926 in Trundle NSW in a shunting accident (he was a guard) he was married to Inez SECKOLD in 1920 & had two children
