Creative Inspiration that Outlives the Inspirer
Bevin Royce Stringer was my grandfather, not by blood by choice. He was a delight in my life and his creativity inspired my own. During service he was a military photographer, he capture beautiful images of the HMAS Hobart and her crew. His work truly shows his character and the respect he had for all the people that worked on the Hobart.
Bevin carried that creativity throughout his life. After service he continued to photograph but also adapted to art forms of the future, making his own video games that featured photos of his grandchildren as the main characters. His creativity and ingenuity inspired me as a young man to create my own art. Now 20 years later my grandfather has passed but the inspiration he bestowed on me hasn't waned even slightly and has inspired and enabled me to become a video game developer.
Bevin's life, service, friendship, and art will never be forgotten by me. I will remember him.
